Polyester resin-based CIPP is likely to continue to be the largest segment of the CIPP market over the forecast period. Polyester resin is effective at impregnating liner materials and can be cured at temperatures near or below freezing. Due to its high flexural modulus, low tensile elongation, and chemical resistance, it is mostly employed in gravity sewer rehabilitation.Its demand is further boosted by its reduced cost when compared to vinyl ester and epoxy resins.


Because of its caustic and high-temperature material resistance capabilities, the vinyl ester resin-based CIPP segment is expected to increase the most over the next five years. The impact resistance of vinyl ester resin-based CIPP is naturally higher than that of polyester resin-based CIPP. It's also more durable than polyester-based CIPP and less expensive than epoxy-based CIPP. Epoxy resin-based is the only resin that passes the NSF/ANSI 61 potable water criteria, hence it's generally employed for the rehabilitation of potable water pipelines.


Polyester fabric-based CIPP is expected to continue to be the largest segment of the market during the forecast period. When compared to other fabrics, polyester fabric reaches the requisite tensile strength and meets the ASTM D461 criteria for feeling at a very competitive price. It is thought to be a superior cloth for resin carriage.


During the projected period, glass fabric is expected to be the second largest but fastest-growing fabric type. When UV curing is used for CIPP, glass fabric is the recommended material. The fundamental justification for utilising UV-cured glass fabric liners instead of water or steam-cured felt liners is that feeling curing produces by-products that are harmful to the environment.


Steam is expected to remain the most prevalent curing method in the market over the projection period, based on curing type. Because heat transfer in the steam process is faster than in the hot water process, the overall curing time of the steam process is shorter than that of the hot water process. A steam cure system is much easier to set up than a hot water cure system, and it does not require as much water on the job site as hot water curing does.


Over the next five years, UV curing is expected to rise the most. UV liners do not require refrigeration, so they can be delivered to the job site ahead of time. They're 3 to 5 times stronger than traditional felt CIPP liners, help reduce pollutants, and aren't affected by temperature.

North America is likely to continue to be the largest CIPP market over the forecast period.
